No heinz. They're not illiterate. The names of the candidates appeared on both sides of the ballot with the punch holes in the middle. The numbering of the candidates on each side of the ballot (left and right sides) did not obviously or easily correspond to the holes in the center. This kind of dual sided butterfly ballot was unfamiliar to voters who traditionally see names on only one side (left) which correspond directly to the holes.

The fact that this was questioned at the polls during the election by voters and poll watchers and election judges failed to clarify will be hard to ignore in court.

>>>how can you 'mistakenly' vote for someone else? i'd love to see for myself how that was done...
are they all illiterate or something?>>

WTF are you talking about? Remember, this is the same country that, when CNBS touts some company with ticker symbol GLTC, huge volume spikes occur in stocks with symbols GTLC, GCTL, GLCT, etc. etc.

Any questions???

heinz,
Here's a picture of the ballot in question. I agree that it could be confusing to potential Gore voters. Gore is listed 2nd, but you need to punch the 3rd hole.
