My response to MtnLady addressed the issue of the legality of the Palm Beach county voting form. Dalin's response outline a reasonable solution. I don't favor a re-vote, nor do I think there is any real threat of one.

Personally, I would like to see our election process changed to require a run-off in cases where no candidate receives a majority of the vote. Imo, third party candidates like Nader do nothing other than distort the voice of the electorate. I'd also like to see the election based on popular vote rather than the archaic electoral college. And while we're at it, how about voting via the internet or a dedicated intranet, which MtnLady proposed earlier today, to modernize the expensive, slow, and error prone counting process. Finally it's about time we enacted legislation to muzzle the press on voting day until the process is complete nationwide.
