RE:"If Bush wins, it just means polls are useless. Anything that has less than a 100% sample rate is bound to have some error in the final analysis. Polls are usually much to small to be effective."

Lets face it. The media ran the election up to about 3:45 AM last night at which time it became very evident who had been running it all along.

RE:"PS. 2 days for a recount is a joke" Absentee ballots could take 10 days as they only had to be postmarked by 11/7.
So we must trust the post offices of foreign countries? Oh boy...

Steve,

Good to see you here

If Bush wins, it just means polls are useless.

Some more than others. Some detected a fairly major shift to Gore over last 2 to 3 days. Some didn't. Especially the tracking polls didn't, because the point of the tracking poll is that the result of each day is just used as one component of an average of last 3 to 4 days.

Despite the claims to the contrary, Bushes DUI had an impact on the final vote, and it may end eventually up costing him an election.

Joe
