Well, thank ya, Clappy ... learning from me.

This concept of "respect" that rings throughout SI seems to me to originate from those who want power. Over other posters, as absurd as that seems. <g>

I'm not one of those power mongers, you likely know by now.

I'm not in the "SI Board business." <g>

I will say -- if there's anything I would like you to learn from me (remember, my purpose in spending time on these investing message boards has nothing to do with seeking some sort of 'guru status' <g>) -- it's this:

Take me, these boards, the people on them; all you read here with a grain of salt. Take it lightly. Take all investing advice as BS. Has nothing to do with your own situation.

Okay?

;)

'Nite, now.

even if i thought that everyone on these message boards was equally uninformed and a poor source of information (which i don't) i would still recognize that they are a valuable resource for getting a feel for investor sentiment. investor sentiment is the most important factor in determining the monetary value of a stock. it IS, however, important to know the writer's position in a stock before taking their sentiment at face value.

it takes a while to learn the difference between investor sentiment and investor sediment.

it's important to build mutual trust and friendship if these forums are to grow in informational value.

it wouldn't seem logical that any serious investor would try to undermine that... but there are a small percentage of people that carry such a burden of fear and mistrust inside their hearts (for whatever reasons - karma - abuse - mental illness) that they cannot trust even their own feelings and thoughts. they consider themselves victims and yes, they are victims of their own perception of life. beware these victims because YOU ARE LIFE, life is oppressive to them, and YOU are the oppressor in their eyes. it is hazardous to stand close unprotected.

it is human nature to have compassion for them. it is also human nature to be repelled by them. it is fruitless to try to reason with them, to argue with them or try to change them. but it is NOT fruitless to accept them exactly as they are. it is NOT fruitless to give them love or food or money or friendship or anything you wish to give. it does not change them for a minute but it changes you forever because you have grown in your ability and capacity to accept and to give. as you stretch your capacity to give you also stretch your capacity to receive. it is a net gain for the world and that is the justice, reward and karma of acceptance and giving.
