Lee. I took the time to listen to both sides this morning on the morning talk shows. We are headed for a legitimacy crisis. Bush now has a lead of 900 or so votes. IF Gore wins the vote count by 5pm today, Bush will insist that we wait until absentee ballots are counted. That will take 10 days. If Bush wins today, Gore will challenge the ballot in Dade county. He'll file suit, etc. Beyond Florida there are other states where recalls could occur (these are for Bush to choose). At 5pm, we'll have a sense only of the next focal point in this struggle. The Ben Ladans of the world will really push it, no matter who wins. This is really awful. As for the markets, I expect a bounce today, and then lower. The Naz is in trouble.
