28 of 67 counties are already counted and BUSH still leads by 1121. Note: Out of country absentee ballots are expected to help BUSH.

<< Why, if I dare ask? >>

Many reasons in my opinion, but I'll go into only one of them in the interest of the board and it's relevance to MSFT.

Nobody will argue that the standard of living in the US is better than almost anywhere in the world. Why is this?

One primary reason. Business. The political and economic environment in the US has traditionally supported business. Our country rewards innovation and rewards hard work. This has led the US to dominate the world in technology, manufacturing, drug and medical progress, etc. Our standard of living goes hand in hand with the success of business.

Everyone will agree that Gore takes a much more anti-business stance than Bush. Gore is hard core anti-business and could threaten innovation. He could damage the pharmacuetical industry and considerably hamper their ability to develop future life saving medications. R&D would be severely restricted if Gore went forward with his price control plans.

We all know that Gore is anti-Microsoft. I have information that leads me to believe that he flat out hates Microsoft and will continue to push the DOJ to do great damage to this company. Microsoft is clearly the leader of the technology industry and has brought great advancement, efficiency and wealth to our country. The US is the world's leader in technology with much thanks to Microsoft.

Gore is anti-business, thus anti-prosperity for our future generations. His attacks on business could cost the US the world dominance that we enjoy today. His attacks on the pharmacuetical industry could cause suffering and death for future generations deprived of medications and treatments that today's R&D will provide if not harmed by price controls.

Fortunately gridlock should prevent Gore from doing too much harm. I'm simply pointing out why his stance on business is the wrong stance. He is as anti-business and any serious presidential candidate in our life-time.

My opinion.
