I heard that something like 19,000 votes have had to be thrown out in Florida. If this is true, nothing less than a revote will satisfy all parties. The world is watching the most influential country in the world during their democratic process. I find it fascinating.

There will not be a re-vote. On MSNBC last night they addressed that specifically and read a judge's order from some previous election where he said that the clear fraud in that case did not warrant nullifying the election.

Perhaps a prescient call. Is it any surprise that the legal teams are out in full force? This could very well end up in the Supreme Court. Gore would nab the 2004 nomination from Hillary if he would gracefully back out once the vote is known to the public.

I am surprised the market did as well as it did today given the turmoil.

My two favorite ideas from this whole election:

1. The Cuban official who thought it might be wise to oversee our voting process; and

2. The post on the Stock Attack thread talking about the ladies who play bingo. I know a certain legal beagle who tried her hand at bingo on a cruise ship when the pot was over three thousand dollars. She bought 24 cards. She bragged that if 70 year old women could handle this many cards then it should be a piece of cake. She found out that the rules stipulated that they could punch through the cards but if the number came off the card was disqualified. It was a little more time consuming than just blotting a bingo card in a normal bingo hall. She came away from it saying she would never play again. Luckily, her one number away card was punched correctly or she would have never lived down how she lost three thousand dollars because she couldn't keep up with the old timers. If those little ladies can play 20 bingo cards then they surely can vote :-)

By the way, I see your profile still exists. I guess you didn't get too many ribs broken with that scissor lock. My guess is that she is pulling out all the stops to get you back with a dynamite flash animation. She probably hired that friend of hers from Microsoft. You reap what you sow, my friend...ten times over....and then some :-)
