Well... and now your self argument has pointed out the fact that a continuum with a single dimension (liberal -- conservative) is an inadequate tool for much political discussion and measurement. The idea that an individual could be as 'socially liberal' as they are 'fiscally conservative' does not mean that they are a 'moderate' since the two would cancel each other out in the 1 dimensional model.

Just though I would join in the discussion... how many of us are there now?? 2?? 3?? heh.

What is interesting is the way people, such as yourself, have managed to twist or color the word "liberal" into meaning something horrid. It's become a code word for lurking communism and if you look closer, it is many times used with "media" to point at Jews. I always ask. "So, who are the liberal media?" I usually hear silence. "Liberal" has become a code word for many things that people don't quite have the guts to say in a faux P.C. world while at the same time. rallying the troops
