The idea that an individual could be as 'socially liberal' as they are 'fiscally conservative' does not mean that they are a 'moderate' since the two would cancel each other out in the 1 dimensional model.

This election and the coming tough love in the stock markets that both parties will have to endure is paving the way for Ventura in 2004. The appeal of "keeping the Democrats out of your boardroom and the Republicans out of your bedroom" is just what this country wants. It worked in Minnesota and as I watched it unfold living here I realized just how much national potential the guy has.

I am glad you joined in. Unfortunately, I cannot keep my eyes open much longer, so I must be brief, and soon shut off the box: there are defects in a model that cannot adequately deal with the relationship of conservatism and libertarianism, which are hardly the same. On the other hand, the terms are not meant for precision, and most people understand that conservatives are interested in some manner with preserving the heritage that we suppose led to our greatness as a nation, and can stir us and lead us into the new millennium......
