I wouldn't mind if there was at least a test to ensure that the voter was literate, and not mentally impaired. It would probably mean fewer people voting for Democrats. -g-


You may want to do some homework re: literacy rates in the South before you attempt to advance this argument much further.

As one news anchor put it, "Bush swept the South like a tornado through a trailer park."

So you have to be literate to vote?? Hardly seems fair. Plus then you get into languages.... ebonics?
