I don't have to do homework on literacy rates in the South, Flats. I'm from Louisiana, grew up in New Orleans, have a lot of family in Mississippi. Now I live in Virginia. I read two or three newspapers every day, I don't have to go to the library or the Internet to know what's what. The papers do a good job of reporting things like literacy rates.
