MB, I guess the Bush boys figured there was an alternative
way to deliver Florida. This may turnout to be one of
the biggest scandals our country has ever faced. I'm
begining to think that Clinton may be our first President
to have an extended term as President in an interim capacity. There will be no short term solutions to this one. I am scandalized by it all, and I'm a cynic to the core. Amazed and hunkered down for the the long term.
the arrogance of priviledge is once more demonstrated in
all it's insufferatudability.

Michael,
It looks to me like we are going to have a rather long wait to determine which way Florida's electoral votes will go, now that planes-full of lawyers are clustered around the ballot boxes. There will be lawsuits, injunctions, hearings, investigations, and appeals - too much is at stake for either side to let go.

Given the above, mightn't this be a good time to bet that stocks are not going to go on a tear to the upside? I just started with a DJX put. What do you think?
Thanks,
/Kit

Mike,

If we were either a Libertarian society or at a minimum moved most government activities to the state level we wouldn't have the problems we are about to have.

If the federal government doesn't do much who really cares who wins?

OR

If you don't like the policies in your state, just vote with your feet.

The way I see no one has a monopoly on being correct about either economics, money, morality, behavior, foreign policy etc...

The way we do things, at least 48% of the people are going to be really pissed off with the result and/or policies.

Democracy is a wonderful thing until "your" guy loses and the bonehead who won threatens your financial well being and/or lifestyle. I'll take true freedom over what we have any day of the week. (even if I have to watch a lot of boneheads in other states from the sidelines)
