OT - >> It's tiresome to hear that Clinton/democrats is/are responsible for all of the woes in the world, and the cynicism we have in politics. <<

LOL...

You have to put up with it on one totally insignificant on-line chat room.

BIG DEAL.

We have to put it with it every day from almost every other media outlet.

We are continually told by the liberal media that the Republicans are trying to steal Grandma's Social Security, they're going to take away medicare, they take from the deserving poor and give to the undeserving rich, etc, etc, etc.

Gore says it's a battle between "good" and "evil". Come on...

Any hint of fiscal responsibility in controlling or reducing entitlements is taken as some heartless act of an evil Republican.

Alex. Why don't we focus on the effect this may have on the markets.

From one of my posts yesterday:

"An old W.S. rule of thumb is that the markets hate uncertainty. IMHO, an extended court free for all over the Florida result could create exactly the kind of uncertainty that leads to serious repercusions for the markets".

IMO that is VERY on topic and yet there's been very little discussion of it here. TIA

<<I seem to recall someone by the name of Milhouse...>>

Right, Nixon. At least he was enough of a statesman to concede in 1960, even though JFK, with the help of a henchmean (also a "Daley"), won the election through fraud. He did it to avoid dividing the nation..

algore isn't 1/10th the statesman that "Tricky Dick" was...
