From what I understand, there are provisions in Florida's law which prove the ballot used was illegal. According to a expert on FL election law who appeared on PBS last night one of those provisions is that the candidates be listed in alphabetical order. K

To answer your question, the ballot is legal because it is 'not illegal'. By the way, Florida election law says you choose a candidate by marking an 'X' to the right of the candidate or party's name. I suppose a case could be made there. <Why you wanna ignore 19,000 pro-Gore votes and pretend like they didn't exist? Only so Bush can win?
