"Sheesh, the dimwit contends her "right to vote had been taken away from [her]", not that she had made a stupid blunder which, by exercising a modicum of care or a scintilla of preparation, she could easily have avoided.

Now, now, you're not exactly taking into account Ms. Gaines right to a warm, fuzzy feeling and how the gov't is meant to protect that right.

Regards,

Barb

Larry,

I'm in full agreement. I haven't seen the ballot, but the Democrat that designed it tried to make it EASIER to read and thus vote! There are way too many idiots out there that couldn't spell "government", let alone punch a hole in a ballot!

Tom

Larry and thread:

The "confusing" ballot may be seen here:

a388.g.akamai.net

Looks as clear as day to me, you would have to be an idiot to get that one wrong.

I also understand that a copy of the ballot was sent, before the election, to every registered voter. They had it in their hands. Too lazy to look at it and figure out how to vote, or ask if they weren't sure.

Sheeshh.

Let's solve the whole problem. Kick both of them out of the race and give it to the triumverate of Nader, Browne, and Buchanan.

Hi Larry,

Ms. Gaines typifies the norm in this country of evading responsibility for one's own actions or errors.

Like me, I am sure as a youth that you learned the value of Responsibility from the interference of the Government. <g>

Please don't get me started on the issue of qualified voters...
