How can Bush, in good conscience, assume the presidency knowing so many Palm Beach County Gore votes weren't counted? Buchanon wanted an honorable result to his vote tally...why not Bush?

In my view, Bush should release his Floridian electoral college votes to Gore and immediately become a national hero, famous in history for all time.

I agree. Having this election decided by the courts would be very bad for the country.

By the way, could the Supreme Court jump into this situation on the basis of a "national crisis" emergency or some such? Or would all the legal challenges have to wind their way through the courts slowly?

There will be many people in this country who will say "I do not recognize GWB as president of the United States," if he is declared the winner.

I will likely be among them.

After all the dust settles, people won't even remember what happened between Bill and Monica.
