Milo,

I have to admit that I am quite worried about the 1.5 GHz delay. It will come out right before Intel will introduce its 0.13 nm versions. And their 0.18 nm processors are already scheduled to reach 2 GHz. So what will AMD have in the second half of 2001 to compete with Intel? Will 2H 2001 be just ugly?

Peter

Milo, <John if your PC is faster with a 1.2Ghz T-bird than a 1.5Ghz P4 why would you hurry to bring in a 1.5Ghz Pony?>

1)Because only 1/3 the public will believe that 1.2 GHz could be faster than 1.5 GHz
2)AMD will be able to sell as many Athlon 1.2's as they can make at $200, but they could sell 1.5 GHz Ponies at $300-$400. So why not make a little more money?
