The ballot was designed by the democratic elections supervisor in Palm Beach County, approved by both parties
at the state level, the newspapers printed it for all to see
weeks before the election and every registered voter received an exact sample replica of what they would be looking at once they got to the booth weeks before the election. Not a word from anyone. Over 450000 voters got it right and 20000 screwed up. About average for this state.
This Nader voter got it right in this county, voting for the only candidate who gave a damn about the people in this country. The country got what it deserved, call it Elian's
curse. Supporting a government which controls the media,
the economy and stifles the truth wasn't what Jefferson had in made when he wrote his Declaration 200 years ago.

Woo-hoo!!! - I just found the controlling statute - read it and weep. Title 11, Chapter 10, Section 101.5609 (6) applies to electromechanical ballots, that is, those which are tabulated by machines -

>>(6) Voting squares may be placed in front of or in back of the names of candidates and
statements of questions and shall be of such size as is compatible with the type of system
used.
Ballots and ballot information shall be printed in a size and style of type as plain and
clear as the ballot spaces reasonably permit. Tear-off stubs shall be of a size suitable for the
ballots used and for the requirements of the voting device. The ballots may contain special
printed marks and holes as required for proper positioning and reading of the ballots by the
automatic tabulating equipment. When ballots are bound into pads, they may be bound at the
top or bottom or at either side. In the case of the paper ballots, all offices and questions may
be printed on the same sheet of paper.<<

My husband says they were already talking about this on Crossfire, but I found it all by myself.-g-
