Much of the spam is irrelevant to Zicam since it has a consistent concentration of zinc in the gel. Also, the placebo AND the Zicam share a tasteless gel matrix so the people who get placebo have no idea whether they get Zicam or placebo.

The parallels of Gum-Tech to Quigley are much fewer than the suggested by the opinions of those who have been aggressively "supporting" their short positions with mostly irrelevant arguments. Please refer to my previous post entitled "repost". Time will tell. I personally believe that Zicam prevents the common cold caused by ICAM-mediated rhinoviruses and I have no doubt that the studies to either back this up or completely refute this will be out eventually this cold season (despite the company release which basically should have just stated "we do not control the preventive studies and they will be out when the researchers are done with them).

Zicam notwithstanding, those who think that GUMM's gum business is dead have not done any real research into what this company is doing.

Do your own DD and please stick to relevant material.
