DELL's woes may not sink AMD tomorrow. I noticed that CPQ didn't even budge in the aftermarket. /Petz

Bill:

"Dell?? beats me why they feel such loyalty?"

Isn't Dell a division of INTC??? Dell goes as INTC goes...Dell's never had to deal with a situation like the current one though, where a competitor has the stronger trumps with respect to all ranges in the PC market...Not long before server competition heats up as well!!!

AMD's Athy derivatives have painted an entirely different microprocessor landscape than the one that has existed for the past 15 years...Dell, if they haven't yet come to grips with this new reality, may have to learn the hard way, a glimpse of which seems apparent by the numbers and forward looking guidance they posted last evening.
