You are right on about what Gore should do.

As to the expressed ballot confusion, etc.,
my overall point remains that the remedy is not
a re-vote. Period. The Gore folks know that, too,
and that is why they should do the right thing
and end this.

OG, As usual, well thought out comments and I do agree. My last comment on the matter is that the incessant whine coming from the democrats camp is doing nothing to uphold the dignity that this office is supposed to portray. I would not expect any more from this group after the last 8 years. tp

I know you don't want to belabor this, but I want you to understand one thing. The same ballot was used in the last election. There was confusion then. The local election board re-approved it and both sides signed off on the format. They also can be credited with due diligence in trying to prevent any FURTHER confusion by sending out ballots to the voters BEFORE the election and even printing it in the newspaper. The fact is that they chose that specific format in order to FACILITATE the voting of the senior citizens since their judgement was that the larger print would make it easier to read. Well, that judgement was apparently wrong and it backfired. But there is no excuse for "confusion" since every voter had the opportunity to preview the ballot. At some point voters must take responsibility for their own acts. That point is when they deposit their ballot into the ballot box.

This antiquated balloting system was a crises waiting to happen. Now hopefully the pols will get off their duffs and correct it.
