EXCELLENT POINT.

Another key point - if TDMA carriers go with 1X in the US, Nokia will lose it's it's handset monopoly with the TDMA/GSM carriers in the US. NOK would be forced to compete with Sanyo, Samsung, Touchpoint, Kyocera, Motorola, etc... if companies like Cingular migrate to 1X.

I'm skeptical? Doesn't Snaptrack also license technology? I doubt very much that Sprint would lock themselves in..
