MSDW said this am ``notebook and server demand remain strong" same mantra we heard from Compaq, HP, and others.
This is what will drive solid Windows2000 sales. Notesbooks sell with W2K in much higher percentages as W2K has some features like longer battery life etc.. Also servers sell with W2K for higher reliability.

JohnD, Post-election ???? This thing could go on for months... In 1876, it took 4 months for the new president to take office. If it goes on for another 3 weeks, the markets would be 70-80% of what they are today and yes, the "post-election" rally will bring them back here. No solace to the weary!!!

<< A solid post election rally is just around the corner >>

John, Don't get your hopes up. The democrats will push this to the limit. Maybe beyond December. Unless the Supreme Court or Clinton step in immediately and tell Gore to back down, the uncertainty will continue.

Obviously it is the uncertainty that the market hates. This uncertainty damages our nation and economy and the market knows this. The longer this remains unsettled, the greater the damage.
