Because the re-vote would allow, unfairly, the voters to know how the rest of the country voted, something no other voter knew when they voted.

Invalid ballots have always been thrown away. I don't remember any district re-polling in the past and doing it now would set a dangerous and expensive precedent.
There are very close local races where I am. They would request re-polling for sure if that were an accepted practice.
