<< What's Gore got to lose from dragging this stuff out? >>

He could go down in history as the person that caused great damage to the US economy and the US international reputation. He could ruin his future as a political candidate.

This is his last chance desperate bid for the office he desires. He will break all the rules and risk the health of the nation in order to accomplish his personal goals.

IMO,
Dave

OT - what Gore has to lose:

As mentioned in other posts, the winner could end up the long-run loser. As a Republican, I believe our party has far better people than Mr. Bush to offer the US as a president -- if only we could manage to nominate one of them! I wouldn't fancy President Gore's chances in 4 years, especially after his unleashing of Mr. Daley yesterday. Conversely, if I were one of the many Democrats with their eyes on the big chair, I'd love to be running against President Bush next time 'round. Problem for Gore is, he's probably not the first choice for the rematch.

MSFT holding up well today while high P/E stuff is going up the spout. Might buy another block but so far it hasn't triggered my buy range.

Cheers!
