Nick, the Democrats CREATED THE BALLOT IN QUESTION, the Democrats SIGNED A WAIVER APPROVING THE BALLOT and Democrats SUPERVISED THE COUNTING AND QUALIFICATION of the ballots in question...now just where was this Republican Conspiracy to steal the election in all this? This is a coup and will destroy the integrity of American elections from this day forward if allowed to continue. If the recount had gone Gore's way I would want Bush to concede. The country is far more important than any party at this point.

Now here's a thought -- If they don't resolve this by the time the new President is supposed to be sworn in, Clinton would, of course, be President until that moment in time as he would be anyway. But since he's only allowed to be elected to two four-year terms, he'd have to give up the Presidency and turn it over to Gore. Anything wrong with this logic? I'm not a consitutional scholar, so I'm soliciting opinions from the thread on this just for laughs.

Given the incident of the Florida federal judge's son whose absentee ballot was diverted in the mail, then cast for Gore -- twice -- I'm not assuming anything, except that they'll be looked at very closely.

Btw, I wonder what progress is being made in the St. Louis case where police found a voting machine abandoned in an empty lot Wednesday morning. Do you suppose that machine might have contributed to Gore's "majority?"
