Incidentally, did anyone else pick this up in the Internet Capital Group comment? They stated that they
were cutting out 50 jobs, which was 35% of its total employees. This means that, before the layoffs, they
employed 143 people. At its peak earlier this year the company had a total market capitalization of $59
billion. That comes out to $412 million per employee (not a typo). This illustrates, as much as anything
we’ve seen, the complete insanity of the excesses that are now in the process of being unwound.
