A couple of years ago, I had to travel to Dade City, FL (in Pasco county, I believe) often to visit an ailing relative.

My impressions was - pardon the expression - that the place was basically an no-man's land. I sincerely hope my experience with DC was an exception rather than the rule. (Some of those remote small towns are truly scary.)
