GV, Funny, I don't remember it that way and I was there at the time. This was the first election I was emotionally involved with and I lived in Mayor Daley's Chicago. Of course if Nixon had done what Gore is now doing, it would have been my ox that was being gored and I would have been very upset if Nixon had won after legal action even though I was well aware of the usual Chicago Democratic machine's modus operendi. My political views have obviously changed since 1960. My son still can't figure out why, but among other reasons, it comes from watching too much legal hairsplitting on many, many issues - not the least of which is what the definition of "is " is. Barry
