Nixon Illinois incident, to add to what you ve said, according to Mr Mark Shield on NewsHour, that 27 electorial votes wouldn't help to turn the election anyway

He's right but from what I've heard there was also concerns with ballot stuffing in Texas (nah Lyndon wouldn't do that) but the difference was around 50k. He could have challenged both states and if successful the combined amount was enough.

I'm not trying to sway one way or the other but Mark Shield can be selective at times (hey I'm guilty of that trait).

I do know if there is hand counts and they change a vote on a sample size Bush should be going bonkers. Just clean politics, ha.

Either they recount all the votes by hand, in all the counties, or they use the process in place. You can't selectively choose where you want hand counting.

This is getting silly and its escalating.
