hdr - Personally, I don't know if a hand count is any more accurate or not, but its always been my impression this is the "verification" of last resort. Obviously someone thinks its more accurate, or they wouldn't be requesting it. In any case, they're within their rights to do so, and I guess that's the point. I was just trying to parry the "spin" I kept hearing (both from the Republican camp and several times from Douglas) that the "democrats keep wanting to recount the ballots". Sorry about the date, the fingers are faster than the brain sometimes. Lets hope it doesn't go beyond the 17th <whatever month - gg>. Alex
