In other words, the electoral has nothing to do with the actual election but may have something to do with the campaigns.

You say that because Goofy may "win" the election with less popular votes overall and a 300 vote margin in Florida, where over 19,000 deciding votes are sitting in a dumper.

It's a famous old saying, I'll dig up the origins when I return. I'm just looking in this morning then heading off to a weekend.

But thank you for the post. I think the concerns addressed by the EC don't hold true anymore. I wrote a post about it and Monday I'll try and find it. Or have to think of it all again. I hope the former.
