We should believe baby Bush? I don't THINK so. He'll appoint judges that are, like himself, like Scalia, anti-choice. If you think any thing else, you are seriously out of touch. I suppose he could make a huge mistake evaluating a candidate, and appoint someone who suddenly became pro-choice after coming to the Supreme Court- but it is not likely.

The whole POINT of winning an election is to shape policy and one way you do that is by shaping the judiciary by the judges you appoint. Gore, Bush, they will both have a whole host of issues that are litmus tests for court appointees- whether they admit it or not.

People can SAY they don't have a litmus test. People can SAY anything they want. But it never makes what they say true. How you can believe your republican politician while decrying the lying of democratic politicians continues to amaze me. They ALL lie. If they weren't egomaniacs they wouldn't be tempted to run for office. They are all horrible- they all have agendas- and you have to pick the horrible person with the agenda closest to your own. But to make either side out to be "good" or "pure" is absolutely ridiculous.

<<Kinda funny how many liberals I've met who say the same thing about Bush, although he has clearly stated that he has NO litmus test for his SC nominees.>>
