AND IN THIS ELECTION IT IS HALF OF THE COUNTRY. THAT'S RIGHT AND HALF OF THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED IN THIS ELECTION DISAGREE WITH YOUR CONCLUSIONS IN YOUR LAST POST.

I do find it entertaining that Florida's attorney general (maybe an appointee of Jeb Bush-I don't know how that position is filled in Florida) is going to have to make an appearance in the federal suit filed by the Bush campaign to defend a Florida law that George Bush deems to be unconstitutional. He'll have no choice. That's his job. The state has to defend its own laws.

I do find it quite amusing that the "trust the people" line and "we do have rules and laws" line has gone by the wayside. Hey, here's a law, I don't like it. It's unconstitutional. That tells me loads about George Bush. From a stategy standpoint, I think it would have been wise of his team to ask for manual recounts in the republican counties rather than challenging a law that has been on Florida's books for decades and in fact is on the books of dozens of other states as well. This could issue of manual re-counting could end up in the U.S. Supreme Court as many states have an interest in the outcome of this issue.
