I have come to respect so many of you based on the intelligent financial insights you have brought to this thread.

It is disillusioning to find my respect undermined by the narrow-minded naive partisan name-calling some of you have resorted to (I am not here referring to anyone in particular, but those of you who are frothing at the mouth probably know who you are.)

I am interested in your opinions. The invectives are counter-productive - they make you sound and look like an idiot.

Why take the low road while extolling the politicians to take the high road?

Geez

Let me clarify.

I do not favor the consideration of a revote.
I believe that the 19000 double punched ballots are invalidated.
I believe that if people voted for Pat Buchanan by mistake that is amusing in another context.
I also believe that the ballots that did not register a vote because the punch did not penetrate the second layer of the ballot should be hand examined and those ballots where the voters intent are obvious should be allowed. This is provided for under Florida election law. There is sufficient precedent, local and national, for such a ruling.
