What do you mean "ride it out"? You would stay long?!

I am currently both long and short. My point was that volatility, in and of itself, does not dictate my trading pattern or investment decisions. Indeed, I try to take advantage of it whenever possible.

Currently, I believe the market is short-term oversold and will bounce nicely over the next 3 months. I have a highly diversified portfolio and entered many of my long positions on Friday. As such, my portfolio is not bleeding as much as other long portfolios out there.

My point was that the "mutual fund outflows and redemptions" that have been predicted for the past 2000 NAZ points have never materialized. Repeating that prediction ad nauseam has not made and will not make it happen.
