I would agree with you in principle, excpet that I can not imagine what our Republic will be like after four or God forbid, eight more years of Clinton/Goreism. Its time to restore the damage that this Administration has done to politics and political and social attitudes in the country over the past eight years. The cynicism has become poisonous. I see Bush being able to effect repair of a lot of the damage. I see him as a concensus builder and a guy who is not politically combative just for the sake of the argument. I hope Bush hangs in there and claims his rightful victory. This country needs it. JLA

the sad thing is.....450 thousand people in palm beach county got it right..... but 19 thousand who messed upped are holding this country hostage....... 19 thousand people who have now cost american's billions of dollars with the stock market decline this week......and made american's look like fools in the eyes of the world..... 19 thousand people out of millions americans....... elections are run on averages.....you take the rights and wrongs.......and in the end......things all equal out!!!!!! thats the way it has been since the beginning!!!!! the hand count......and trying to " read peoples intentions".....is part of the " wrongs" that are figured in all the averages....... if they can guess peoples intentions by the hand count......then they might as well go up to northern republican county's and ask the voters there if THEY DIDN'T VOTE BECAUSE THE NETWORKS CALLED GORE'S VICTORY IN FLORIDA TOO EARLY........ DO THEY GET TO VOTE NOW!!!!!!! same as reading someone's intentions with a hand count!!!!!!! bush got lucky from 19,000 people in palm beach who screwed up........ gore got lucky from the networks calling his victory early while republican county's polls were still open in northern florida........ IT ALL AVERAGES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS THE SYSTEM.....ALWAYS HAS BEEN!!!!!!!! BUT NOW ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR JUST AL GORE!!!!!!!!!!! SO NOW AMERICA SUFFERS FOR ONE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE RIGHTS AND WRONGS ARE FIGURED INTO THE SYSTEM......
