>> Face it, we are a nation divided...by sex, by race, by income, by geography. <<

That's exactly right, and it's the job of big business and politicians to keep us all happily working and playing well together to put more money in their pockets as well as power in their lives. The powers that be are failing miserably in their game of bread and circuses. Incidentally, does the reference to "bread and circuses" sound familiar?

Granted, all of these differences are fairly smoothed over when the stock market is soaring high, but that's not the case any longer. When the next recession arrives, things are going to become quite ugly and heated, especially so in America's inner cities.

I wonder what will happen when not only Los Angeles is rioting, but every large city in America is rioting or warring? I'm convinced it will come to that sooner, rather than later. No one subscribes to the company line that diversity is a strength, any more than than they believe in Santa Claus. One need only examine the racial, religious, and gender statistical profiles of how America voted to appreciate the truthfulness of this statement. It would seem that everyone, all sides included, has made about as many concessions as they can humanly make. Something has to give hard in one way or the other. I don't see that happening without violent conflict.

Regards,
John
