Bold & Brazen? Sure, cause they know the networks will buy it.

Noticed several have criticized Doug for drawing parallels between the FL street demonstrations and the "brown shirts" of the 30s. Wonder if they'll still dispute the comparison after Jesse Jackson's army of upstanding citizens hits the street day after tomorrow?<G> You know, Jesse's little National Day of Protest as he's dubbed it.

Excuse me for asking...Jesse. But, WHAT are you protesting?

Your man is already getting everything he's asked for. Even a biased selection of areas for hand recounts!

So the answer is NOTHING. Because the fact is you're not protesting. You're trying to apply political pressure on the nation via sound bites of thousands and thousands of demonstrators in the streets shouting for us to accept your party's machinations to subvert a legally conducted election with grossly unfair selective hand recounts.

Well thread, do you think the media will criticize Jackson for this or even identify it for what it is? That Jess is the "poor mans" Ernst Roehm? Don't hold your breath, lol.

The press and the TV networks have been showing significant liberal bias for many years. And IMHO they'll cover Jacksons staged media circus as if should be taken to heart as an expression of the popular will. Instead of informing the public in an objective and balanced manner these networks have become little more than political tools offering little or nothing in the way of independent critique or analysis.

Here's just one example that hasn't been discussed much here. Fox (about the least tainted of the news services) had this little tid bit in one of their stories on the web today:

"An unofficial tally by The Associated Press of the recount in Florida's 67 counties showed the Texas governor with a 327-vote lead over the vice president in the state whose 25 electoral votes will determine the next president. State officials said their recount showed Bush leading by 960 votes with 66 counties reporting."

OK thread. Tell me. How often have you seen the major TV networks give the Bush lead in FL as 327 votes as computed by the Associated Press?

By comparison, how often have you seen them report the 960 vote lead which is the official State of Florida figure?

That's right. The official figure is almost never mentioned by the talking heads!

But of course it can't be media bias. No only right wing extremists come to conclusions like that, lol.
