Mr. Isopatch,

Have you ever looked into who owns and controls the "liberal media" which you believe supports Gore? The media does not give a tinker's damn who is elected president, as long as they are on the winning side. But the billionaires who funded Gore and own the media do. The billionaires behind Bush are at a disadvantage because they are the right wing of the billionaires club and aren't, let's say uh, copacetic to the majority of the board of directors of USA, Inc.

This is OXY vs HEC. Check the charts. (g)

By the way none of these people are liberals for X sake.

Bush continues to give the impression that he's trying to grab the crown and prevent a legal recount. If Bush were as concerned about recounting every county in Florida as so many on this thread are for the sake of "fairness," James Baker could simply request it. He has not, and IMHO will not, because it will probably turn up more uncounted votes for Gore than for Bush. Gore only needs to count enough votes that were cast for him to get a majority. Bush needs to prevent that. It is looking more and more like the vote in Florida went for Gore and that in various ways, it was not counted. Some big money didn't like that and they called Gore to tell him to retract the concession and contest the kangaroo count.

There's nothing to do but watch. There is no way to influence this train of events because there is no alternative at this moment in history to the aptly described by SOB "two headed serpent" two party system. Look how keenly determined they were to squelch the populist campaign by Nader. The likes of Nader are a threat to their system. If something like Nader gets a head of steam you will really see some fireworks, shenanigans, and even a brouhaha. Hell there hasn't even been a lynching, house burning, or death threats. What's to get excited about. I hope you don't have a big investment in either of these jerks. (gg)

Regards,

RWS

POLITICAL MELTDOWN! W. Palm Be just voted to hand cnt the whole cty!

The recounted 1% of the cty and it took 10 hrs today. So we're only talking 990 hrs for the rest. ROFLMAO!!

OK then let's do it. According to one network interview with a FL state official, punch card ballots were used in 26 counties in Florida. Some had even bigger problems than W.P.B. Cty in numbers of ballots thrown out for double punches or no punches for any Prez choice.

To use the same language as the Gore campaign people, let's "be fair" and determine the "will of the voters" in all these counties where punch card ballots were thrown out for these same reasons. That's the ONLY way to really know who won this crazy election now that the democrats have insisted on opening pandoras box to show us all the political meltdown of weeks of wipsaw manic depression emotional swings lie ahead for our country as the networks pound and pound on this just like they did with the Impeachment crisis.

Just damn glad I'm sitting on a pile of cash<g>. Cause doesn't look to this old stock jockey like the meltdown is going to stop with politics!

You've already fastened your seat belts. You life preservers are located under your seats, the oxygen masks will drop down from the panel above you if the cabin experiences decompression, and you please follow the arrows if you wish to use the emergency exits.

Flight 666 will depart at 9.30 AM ET. Enjoy your trip...

<<Noticed several have criticized Doug for drawing parallels between the FL street demonstrations and the "brown shirts" of the 30s. Wonder if they'll still dispute the comparison after Jesse Jackson's army of upstanding citizens hits the street day after tomorrow?<G> You know, Jesse's little National Day of Protest as he's dubbed it.>>

United States Constitution - Amendment I - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Sounds like you and Dougie may be a little fuzzy on this, looks like its time for a refresher course <ggg>.
