"Florida state law requires a recount automatically if vote totals differ by 1/2 of 1%"

The re-count was done...and Bush still won.

In the meantime, the Dems had already requested a manual re-count...obviously realizing in advance that the results of the initial vote would not change in the recount.

When repeatedly asked if they would accept the results of both a recount and the mail-in ballots...the democrats refused to commit. They obviously already had other things in motion. Just like today when asked if they were persuing other legal options...they refused to answer...but have already hired yet another attorney.

Do I think either party representative will allow a single vote to be handled improperly...when the Republican rep is outnumbered 2 to 1 in a Democratic stronghold...the answer is yes...absolutely. Totally subjective.

I agree...the injunction to stop the manual re-count is too late to end this travesty of injustice.
