what would you do if you were Gore? It is highly likely that a plurality of Floridians voted for him, yet the popular votes counted favor Bush. If you were Gore would you just say "oh well?" this is a real constitutional problem, not one of wheezling one's way into the white house. Bush wants to stop the manual recount because he knows it is likely to tip the election to Gore. What should Bush do. Eventually Congress or the Supreme Court will get involved. better sooner than later. 50 years from now this will be written about as the great constitutional crisis of 2000. larry
