Dear notblake: Yes, the market hates uncertainty. But, once the election is decided, whomever wins, Americans have a habit of putting their best face on it. For 90 days or so the new President will have his "honeymoon". Nothing much will happen and the market OUGHT to return to normalcy. It is only after the market realizes the monster that has been created that it will "crash". This will also coincide with our typically weak market months to begin with and together I could see a VERY bad situation develop. That is why if Gore is elected I do not plan to "ride it out as I normally do" but to exit the market entirely. My portfolio is extensive, and I will have to pay a lot of taxes, but I see no other choice. JDN
