It is Florida law, my friend. Bush is (was) free
to challenge in Republican areas. He didn't -
that was his choice. Nothing to do
with what Gore "allowed".

But what about getting an accurate and fair count? I thought Daley said he did not want this election determined on a technicality, but on the will of the people. If you really want to know the will of the people, you and the dems would do the honorable thing and allow the entire state to be hand-counted using uniform standards for determining voter intent.

The other thing just reported on MSNBC is that the dems are filing to allow the Tuesday deadline to be extended. Using your argument about the repubs had their chance, I say to you if you don't have them counted by Tuesday, too bad, you had your chance. That's the law. You can't have it both ways even though you and the dems have no regard for the laws unless they work to your advantage.

Sea Otter,

Think he may have thought it wasn't the right thing to do???? Maybe the patriotic thing to do, in his opinion, for the nation?
