OT--

Supposed "Constitutional Scholar" (LOL)Lawrence Tribe of Harvard was shilling for Gore today all over the media--saying the electoral college should be abolished.
(TRANSLATION: the Constitution should be ignored)

Was that his audition to be appointed to the US Supreme Court if his boy Gore gets in?

I have to disagree with you, Jim. Florida law states that the vote shall be certified by 5pm, 7 days after the election. Though I'm sure Gore supporters would like some discretion, the law allows for none. Unless of course, one doesn't think the law should apply.

All votes were counted....twice. Some were just not tallied for either candidate because they were voted improperly. What do you do with a ballot with 2 holes punched for President? Hopefully, it would get thrown out.

It is rumored that the Gore campaign has offered a compromise wherein they will agree to no further legal action if the Bush campaign will allow a hand recount in all of the State of Florida. I think Bush should accept this. If he does not, he will forever be suspect. If he has nothing to fear in the recount, why not let it proceed and settle the issue in the fairest way. I think the majority of the American people will feel, if he continues to fight a recount, that he does not believe he will win in a recount. The count is simply too close and a recount, that is absolutely accurate, is the only fair way to decide it. All but the most partisan Republicans I think will agree with this.
