I think he may be for states rights when they align with his own interests. That's the way he's been playing it so far.

That was perfect...however, he is forever pressing the hypocrasy button...keep gvt small, now need gvt intervention...bring honor and respect back to the WH, don't admit to DUI conviction...I can handle a man that in his enthusiasm has a tendency to use hyperbole, but not a man that forever contradicts himself in view of the public eye.

No, it is not hypocritical. This is a national election. Clearly, the federal government has some kind of stake. Besides, Bush never said "no government", and these are the sort of issues intrinsically bound up with government......
