<Yes I am a card carrying pistol packin type that you have nightmares about.>

Think again. Your not the only dude who has served your country and fought in a war. You don't make me "nauseous." I was trained at a young age to deal with dudes like you. Your not the only one who knows how to use a pistol well.

<All I can say is God help you if you ever come trying to take my weapons away.>

What makes you think I'd even lower myself to take your pistol away or even dirty my hands trying to do so? I'd let your Future Commander in Chief, either Al Gore or Hillary Clinton, the first Woman President of the United States,(with the approval of Congress) to give the orders to your commanding officers to ask for your pistol. If you refused, the National Guard would move in on you. I'd just watch the scene where you go berserk. It make for some nice video on Nightline or if you put on a real good show, perhaps even a nice movie, with academy award possibilities. That day is coming eventually, so prepare now.

Good Luck.

Lee,you're wasting your time my friend.Ignore has been my resort. As to taking away the guns of private citizens ;won't happen! Those who think so have no idea.I train many local police in the martial arts and this has been a topic of discussion many times. They feel as we do,never happen.FWIW my two young nephews who currently serve in the marine corps are on the same page you are. They've grown up fast.

Best,Dave

Lee, I'm assuming you were responding to RarebirdTurd in that post to me, as I share your feelings and not his. That letter to Mr. President was emailed to me (from California) & I thought it a nice summary of the BS we've had to endure.

I hadn't served like you (couple years shy of Viet Nam), but I have tremendous respect for those like my father who served as a paratrooper in 7 campaigns around the world in WWII. I'm one of the generation the Clinton/Gores hope is too stupid to understand the relentless media spin, and not so subtle attempts at removing our freedoms. Watching their disregard for the constitution in action, I completely expect an attempt at some point to take away arms in their usual way - without objective media coverage and denial that outrage exists.

I expected funny business in this election. I was relieved that we actually got to the election process, because with their constant reinterpretation of the law and constitution to please their means, I actually thought there was going to be an attempt at an amendment, starting with Clinton, for a president to be able to serve more than 2 terms. After this, I think I'd like to see 2 3-years terms as a maximum. (LOL- huh?!)

I hope the many people aware of what's going on (29 states voted Clinton/Gore OUT), don't lay down on this issue. What's at stake is nothing less than a 20-year Clinton administration reign, with appointees lasting well into the future after that. We've had 8 years already, and if they succeed in getting Clinton/Gore in for the next 4, I don't think it's much of a stretch they'd like to get Hillary in as long as they can keep her there (8 years as of the law today). I used to believe this country really was a free country. When I first got into digital editing and digital video editing in the early 90's, I was frightened of how it may be used by this administration. My fears of media abuse have unfortunately been justified.

regards,
Tom
