Scumbria,

Would you have preferred that Clinton let it escalate into all out war?

The situation is escalating to a war as we speak. Clinton is out of the loop.

Is it reasonable to judge a 3,000 year old conflict based on a couple of months worth of events?

The fact that this is a 3,000 year conflict should have dawned on the US foreign policy team. I wonder if Clinton thought he could charm mortal enemies into becoming the best buddies. How many Rose Garden photo-ops did we have during Clinton term? How many hand shakes?

It takes a bigger man than Clinton (certainly bigger than Albright) to realize that what they thought was a negotiation was in fact a rout and that US is on the losing side.

If there one day there is no Israel, it will be part the Clinton legacy.

Joe

Scumbria,

I wonder what or how much $$ either or both sides have been offered/promised by the U.S. as "incentives" to stop the conflict.

I'm not trying to flame or aggravate anyone, I'm serious re. my concerns.
