i understand what you're saying,but you shouldn't underestimate reality's capacity for dishing up surprises either. perhaps an emergency will arise before the current election impasse is resolved...something so out of left field and huge that we can't even imagine it right now. i'm just toying with ideas here...maybe even the resolution of the impasse will constitute the emergency, or rather, lead to it. i agree of course that under normal circumstances this would be unthinkable... i'm just in my paranoid conspiracy doom&gloom mood actually...most likely Shrubs will win and we'll rally and everything will be just copacetic. at least until 4th quarter earnings come trickling in and energy prices go to the next level of absurdity.
