You can't be serious. You have just described the Bush plan to run pell mell for the President-Elect's spotlight and try to play the winner and hope that Gore would be bullied by public opinion to concede. There is no other way to describe Bush's less than Presidential tactic.

I think there is a good chance that he may still win even after all of the hand recounts are complete. The pity is that he doesn't want to risk taking the statesman like position that he was initially pretending to take and getting out of the way of discovering to the fullest the will of the people.

In this respect I think he has demonstrated an intellectual cowardice and hypocrisy and as a result will carry very little of the moral capital that he once claimed to bring to the office to that very office. That is of course if he should turn out to win for real.
